Geriatric Program

Donate to the Geriatric Program:

The geriatric program provides dental services to nearly 1,500 seniors in community residential care hospitals. The Faculty of Dentistry is the organizing center of this program and its satellite clinics. If the care that is needed is too complex to handle at a satellite clinic the residents are transported to the UBC Specialty Clinic. The program also provides a research environment to investigate geriatric oral health, the prevention of oral diseases, and the provision of dental services. Undergraduate dental students and General Practice Residents are also provided an opportunity to learn about providing dental services in this vulnerable segment of our aging population.
