<p>This individual&#8217;s primary task is to support and coordinate the strategy to increase long term revenue opportunities for the Alumni Association through effective management of sponsorship and ad sales for the Association, by supporting new business opportunities for the alumni operation at UBC.</p>
<p>This individual will oversee the Alumni Card benefits program as well as ad sales for Trek Magazine. This business services role is a key contributor growing financial support for alumni programming and enhancing alumni engagement. Specifically, this individual will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Work with Associate Director, to meet annual targets for revenue and engaged alumni</li>
<li>Coordinate resources related to program sponsorship deliverables, advertising, the Alumni Card and new business programs</li>
<li>Research potential new relationships with external and internal business and campus partners to meet strategic objectives of the organization.</li>
<li>Create pre meeting profiles and briefing notes for Associate Director about potential clients.</li>
<li>Identify and reach out to new potential advertisers for the alumni magazine &#8220;Trek&#8221;</li>
<li>Responsible for a yearly ad sales revenue target of $40,000.</li>

<p>The Research Officer provides strategic and actionable information and analysis to support evidence-based fundraising and alumni engagement activities at the University of British Columbia.<br />
The Research Officer works closely with assigned faculties, departments, and units within Development and Alumni Engagement to lead research projects utilizing publicly-available or internal sources of information and data. Occasionally, the Research Officer may conduct primary research through surveys, data modelling, or other methods.</p>
<p>The Research Officer has significant responsibility for proactively identifying, researching and rating potential funding sources (individual, corporate and foundations) with emphasis on building the donor pool at the $100,000 plus level and identifying donors for University priorities.</p>

<p>Within the Development and Alumni Engagement (DAE) and Communications and Community Partnership (C&amp;P) portfolios, the Director, Information Systems creates the vision and strategy to lead and manage the integration and implementation of enterprise information services into the customer environment in accordance with their client portfolio needs.  The Director ensures the development of IT strategic plans, policies, and standards requirements to ensure the successful implementation and operations of integrated, cost-effective IT services within the units.  The Director is responsible for creating the strategy and vision in a variety of large scale campus-wide projects which will link systems across campus and will ultimately assist the DAE and C&amp;P portfolios and the University reach their long term strategic goals.  The Director, Information Systems is responsible for ensuring the services in the DAE and C&amp;P portfolios meet the University&#8217;s requirements for solutions to address the complex and varied requirements.  The Director will develop relationships externally and with key customer and user groups to understand business needs and translate these needs into IT services directions, including identifying external or shared service solutions when existing services do not meet the business needs.</p>
