Isolated seniors project at UBC Okanagan

As the technological revolution continues to transform our lives, the UBC Okanagan Learning Exchange is helping isolated seniors learn more, enhance personal connections and improve their well-being using the Internet. A gift from Interior Savings Credit Union supports this community project that brings together UBCO students, seniors, community organizations and businesses to improve seniors’ quality of life. It’s also fostering compassion and understanding between generations.

“I see some real transformation in our students. They are getting a chance to personally make a difference in their community, and it has enhanced their own lives as well.” – Phil Bond, Manager, UBC Okanagan Learning Exchange
