In Memory of a Pioneer in Counselling Psychology

Faculty of Education

A gift of $1 million to UBC’s Faculty of Education has established a professorship in memory of counselling psychology pioneer and BC social policy advocate, Dr. Myrne Burdett Nevison. The Myrne Burdett Nevison Professorship in Counselling Psychology – made possible by an anonymous benefactor who is a keen admirer of Myrne Nevison’s work – will focus research on the development and evaluation of interventions and efforts related to the early identification, assessment, treatment and ongoing evaluation of populations “at risk” and factors associated with optimal outcomes for this population.
