The Faculty of Forestry at UBC is one of the leading forest facilities in North America. Serving more than 800 graduate and undergraduate students in 2009 / 2010, the faculty offers undergraduate programs in five areas: Forest Resource Management, Forest Operations, Forest Sciences, Wood Product Processing, and Natural Resource Conservation.
The faculty also operates two research centers, the coastal UBC Malcolm Knapp Research Forest in Maple Ridge and the UBC Alex Fraser Research Forest in the Interior near Williams Lake. These research centers offer hands-on experience to complement the theory taught in UBC forestry courses.
