This cooperative effort between the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC and the Vancouver School Board gives more than 1500 elementary school children per year the opportunity to experience a unique world music project. Children from Vancouver’s Eastside schools are transported to the Chan Centre for an authentic theatre-going experience. After the concert, each school participates in six hours of workshop time with some of the professional musicians that they saw perform.
