The School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA), located within the Faculty of Applied Science, offers an undergraduate degree in Environmental Design, two graduate professional programs leading to the degree of Master of Architecture or Master of Landscape Architecture, and two post-professional graduate programs leading to the degree of Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture or Master of Advanced Studies in Landscape Architecture. SALA contributes significantly to the dialogue, education, research and innovation within the architecture and landscape architecture professions and plays a positive role within both UBC and the wider community.
The difference gifts have made in the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture
Thanks to alumni, friends and the design community, the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture has been able to support students’ education through scholarships, awards, and study abroad opportunities. The School also organizes the Arthur Erickson Lecture Series, which once a year brings a renowned professional architect to Vancouver for a public lecture.
The School is currently in the process of expanding into a new facility, shared with the School of Community and Regional Planning.
